The Cottage

Flipflops cottage, a recently renovated luxurious fishermens cottage, is in Downalong, the oldest part of St Ives. Just a couple of minutes walk to the harbour and beaches.

The cottage sleeps up to 6 with a double, a twin and a sofa bed. Wake up to the sound of seagulls, wander along the narrow cobbled streets or the award winning beaches, enjoy a pasty sitting on a bench over looking St Ives bay, visit The Tate or one of the many galleries in the town.

One thing is for sure, no matter what draws you to St Ives for your first visit, you will want to return.

Upside down accommodation. 2 bedrooms (master is en-suite) and a family bathroom with bath and shower on the ground floor, living room/kitchen/diner and the sofa bed on the first floor with beautiful views of the local cobbled streets and a glimpse of the sea.

Recently completely renovated with top quality kitchen and bathroom, raised ceilings, new central heating, double glazing, and lots of local artwork. In the evening you can sit in the courtyard and read a book or enjoy a drink. Modern amenities include top quality beds and linen, modern lighting, 2 smart TVs, fast wifi and a dishwasher. Extremely high review rating on Tripadvisor and Airbnb. Free car park next to the cottage, first come first served, however no cars pass the cottage, just fellow travellers and locals off and about to enjoy their day...

Excellent spot in town and accessible by car ( esp if you can park in the nearby square). Everything we needed. So easy to stroll from the front door with a choice of glorious beaches each 2-3 minutes walk away.

Wonderful week at Derrick's, the location was AMAZING! Less than a minute to Porthmeor beach and the same down the lane to the Harbour and shops on Fore Street. The cottage was charming and comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

A perfect little cottage, very well positioned between Porthmeor and the harbour. Great use of space with the living room upstairs in the sunlight. Great touches eg exposed granite in the bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay- my advice is Go Ahead and Book!
